Portero: Hugo Lloris.
Defensores: Trippier, Varane, Lovren y Young.
Mediocentros: Paulinho y Modric.
Atacantes: Hazard, Griezmann, Neymar y Mbappé.
Team of the tournament is a joke.

Recently I, with brilliant help from @ClinicalFirmino, trolled (almost) the entire football twitter with one little photo.
The number of big accounts that bought it has been staggering. Betting companies, journalists, newspaper, YouTubers and much more

The FIFA Team of the Tournament is fake. 100% fake. I know this because I made the photo
You can see us discussing the lineup here. We wanted to find a good balance, it had to be controversial but also believable at the same time (I would love to have Fellaini there lmao) pic.twitter.com/1a6T4Py7Dh

If you want more proof that its fake
1. I forgot to put gold on Lloris’ name
2. It’s the wrong font
3. Paulinho is in the team
4. Here’s a gif of me making it pic.twitter.com/ir4hzB5nex— Fredrik (@F_Edits) 18 de julio de 2018

It was important that I didn’t tweet it out because my followers know that I have and use photoshop. That’s why @ClinicalFirmino did it.
Keep in mind, it was this little tweet that started it all. Noting morehttps://t.co/1NKDlaIwr2

Here’s a quick list of some of the accounts that not only bought it but also tweeted it out@brfootball @FootyAccums @Sporf@indykaila @TheF2 @FullTimeDEVILS @WilliamHill @ActuFoot_ @stuholden @90min_Football @DaveOCKOP @TheRedmenTV @TheSportsman
and many many more pic.twitter.com/yAtKTBchyl

Some of the most notable have been
– @brfootball one of my very favourite sports sites, a page I hugely admire
– @Daily_Star made a bloody article about it (they’ve changed the original title):https://t.co/4GNmHTNbSc
– @FootyAccums one of the biggest betting accounts pic.twitter.com/afhV9pOf75— Fredrik (@F_Edits) 18 de julio de 2018
This turned out to be a hugely interesting social experience. Almost a bit scary to not only see how many people that fell for it, but also how quickly it spread
From a graphic designer’s POV I’ll take it as a compliment that people thought my edit looked legit enough. Thank you

I want to point out that all it took was a legit photo and one account to tweet it out. @ClinicalFirmino is KNOWN for trolling, his bio even says «imagine being serious», and he was the one that started it. He was, by definition, everyone’s source
Check your sources people
— Fredrik (@F_Edits) 18 de julio de 2018
Not sure how to end this thread, but I will say this: It is way easier to fake stuff on twitter and the internet that people might be aware of! All this took was one photo and «everyone» was tweeting about it
